Then and Now, Living and Working in Pettistree with Loudham
Plans are advancing for the Heritage Weekend being held this year on Saturday July 2nd and Sunday July 3rd. at St Peter & St Paul church.
A big “thank you” to everyone who completed the “Occupation Questionnaire”. Unfortunately modesty must have prevented some people from mentioning their voluntary occupations! We now have the task of sorting out all the information, which will itself contribute to the archives of the future.
On Saturday July 2nd the Church and Church Room will be open from 10 am to 5pm.
On Sunday July 3rd the exhibition will be from 10 am to 5 pm to allow time to clear the church for Evensong at 6.30pm.
Light refreshments will be available in the churchyard on both days.
There will be old original records from the Record Office and archives gathered together locally during the last ten years on display in the Church. This will include “Then & Now”, a comparison of the working lives of the residents of 1901 and the present day. A display of the Hedgerow Survey will also be in the Parish Room.
